About Us

Our lawn bowling greens opened in 1969 in Clayton Park and, for many years, the members were without an official clubhouse. The only buildings on site were two wooden structures, painted red, which were used to house the greens equipment. Needless to say, many comments were made over the years by park users over the bright red colour of the buildings.

In 1983 the old red buildings were demolished and the existing concrete block clubhouse and equipment shed were built. Unfortunately, no washrooms were included in the original plans and members and guests were forced to use the facilities in the adjacent community hall when nature called!

Washroom facilities were finally added in 1994 when an extension was built with the assistance of the City of Surrey.

In 2014 we underwent much needed renovations, as we had outgrown our existing clubhouse. Our expansion included a new kitchen servery plus improved washroom facilities. Thank you, City of Surrey!

During 2016 our natural greens were replaced with new artificial greens and we are now able to lawn bowl year-round!
